Receiving Associate - Night Shift

Responsibilities

• Assist in inventory counting processes and perform periodic inventory audits.
• Receive and unload incoming shipments, inspecting for damages and discrepancies.
• Verify the quantity and quality of items received against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Accurately record received items in the inventory management system, including part numbers, quantities, and serial numbers.
• Organize and stage received merchandise in appropriate storage areas, ensuring proper placement and accessibility.
• Inspect and identify defects or damages in received items and notify the appropriate team members for further action.
• Maintain a clean and organized receiving area while adhering to company safety, sanitation, and food safety standards.
• Collaborate closely with the purchasing team to resolve issues or discrepancies with received items.
• Work cross-functionally with warehouse, operations, and inventory teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of products.
• Support daily warehouse operations within a fast-paced food distribution environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse, receiving, inventory, or food distribution experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Proficient in using inventory management systems and software.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document information.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and adherence to safety regulations.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and vendors.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift products throughout the shift.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

• Night Shift: 5:00 PM - 3:00 AM
• Must be available to work overtime as needed, including extended shifts, weekends, and peak business periods.
• Flexibility to work additional hours based on operational demands.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a warehouse and food distribution environment.
• Must follow all company food safety, sanitation, quality, and workplace safety procedures.
